Creamer Drains a 75-Foot Eagle Putt to Win HSBC Championship
Paula Creamer (an easy favorite to make our upcoming Hottest Girls in Golf 2014 segment) drained a monster 75 foot putt Sunday to clinch the HSBC Women’s Championship in Sentosa, Singapore. The 27 year old Creamer hadn’t previously won an event on the LPGA TOUR since the 2010 U.S. Women’s Open.
Tied after the 72nd hole with Azahara Munoz, the two squared off in a sudden death playoff lasting two holes. Creamer found the green on the 18th in just two strokes, but still had a daunting 75-foot (that’s 25 yards!) putt to win the championship. The putt was long and fast with a daunting right to left break, which Paula read perfectly as her stroke fell sharply down hill and directly into the middle of the cup.
Surprised by her own achievement, Creamer ran across the green leaping for joy before falling down in tears of excitement.
“It’s one of those putts where if you just get it in the right spot, it’s going to fall down,” she said. “But I could stand there all day long and putt that and I don’t think get it within six, seven feet.”
Beauty and talent, needless to say Paula’s got it all. Regardless, you’ve got to see it for yourself:
