Matt Kuchar Wins the 2014 RBC Heritage
Tournament Recap
Just two weeks ago we witnessed Matt Kuchar blow up on the 72nd hole, causing him to fall to a second place finish at the Shell Houston Open. Buried by a hole-out from his playing competitor during the first hole of a playoff, most were starting to become convinced that Kuch had lost his ability to close out a lead. But after a T5 the next week at Augusta, Matt Kuchar came back in dramatic fashion, holing out his own chip shot on the 72nd hole to take the lead and hang on to victory.
Luke Donald led after 54 holes, bringing a 2-stroke lead into Sunday’s final round of the 2014 RBC Heritage as Kuchar, hanging around in 7th place, looked to make up some ground. And Kuch did just that! With an astonishing -7 (64), Kuchar jumped past Luke’s 69 to pick up his 7th career win.
Picking up an additional 500 FedExCup points, Matt now climbs to 3rd on the leaderboard and leaves little doubt that he will be a secret weapon for the USA at the 2014 Ryder Cup.

Fantasy Update
If you’ve been following along the last few weeks you’re certain to have heard our warning that Kuchar usually slumps during the Florida swing and then heats up right after. Since leaving the sunshine state, Kuch has a T4, P2, T5, and victory in four consecutive tournaments. Along with Kuchar, we also selected Luke Donald as one of our top 5 fantasy picks this week, who, as mentioned, finished in solo 2nd this week, managing to jump up 41 spots in the FedExCup rankings.
