Have you heard the cry from your playing partners like I have – “Hey Dave how far am I from the hole?  What about the distance to the front of the green?  What about the back of the green?”  Well the TomTom GPS watch delivers the answer in a quick decisive flick of the wrist.

GPS watches have really started to pick in recent years with many manufacturers dabbling in our precision laden sport.  Thankfully the folks that invented the first real GPS systems for driving directions have ventured into the golf arena.

Simple, quick, effective, with yardages to the front, center, and the back of every green can be found on this slick, lean, and comfortable TomTom Golfer GPS watch.  And if you’re like me you will appreciate the LARGE easy-to-read digital display!  What sets this apart from other GPS golf watches is the fact that with this model you can see distances to hazards such as sand traps, and water on each hole.  And the distance that it takes to cover the hazard.  Plus, if you don’t like using an old fashioned scorecard with a pencil you can also keep track of your score.  Another nice facet of the watch is that you can effortlessly navigate through the menus with their painless one-button system.

It comes with over 34,000 courses (including International courses) preloaded.  And if you like to play 36 holes or more in a day this baby won’t let you down as it can run for 10-hours, while many of the competitors watches only last about half the time.  Charging the unit is a breeze when hooked up via the USB adapter provided to either your computer or wall socket.  The folks at TomTom also provide easy updating of courses, plus there are additional courses constantly being added by just doing a simple download.  This is truly an easy and precise GPS device where you’ll know every inch of the course!

The TomTom Golfer retails for the reasonable price of $249.99 and comes free from any monthly, or yearly fees making this a no-brainer.  Plus it’s a cool stylish wristwatch for everyday use.  And for my playing partners I say firmly – “Stop yelling across the fairway and get your own TomTom and let me enjoy my game and the peaceful surroundings that we enjoy so much!”
