Golficity’s Top 10 Hottest Women in Golf
Given the often all too literal mentions of stiff shafts, threesomes, and “getting it in the hole,” it’s always quite surprising to us that the topic of golf rarely conjures up thoughts of bikini-clad hotties. With all the short skirts, tight shirts, and gratuitous instagram “selfies” surrounding the sport, it’s utterly tragic how golf’s hottest women are so often overlooked by public consciousness. We’ve set out on a mission to change all that, and to start off we’ve scoured the world to compile a list of the top 10 hottest women in golf for 2013.
This 26-yearl old Spanish cutie was born and raised in Pamplona, Spain. Recari began playing golf at age 11 and has had a successful amateur career, with wins at the 2004 Spanish Amateur Championship and the 2005 French Amateur Championship. In 2003, she finished runner-up at the British Girls Amateur Championship and won the European Team Championship as a member of Team Spain in 2004. Recari was also a member of Team Europe in the 2005.
Born and raised in the Sacramento, CA, Gulbis started playing golf at the age of four. At age seven, Natalie won her first tournament and began breaking par by the time she was ten years old (try not to think about that when you’re 11 over through 7 holes this weekend).
With one LPGA Tour victory and three Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge wins under her belt, Gulbis has established herself as a seriously credible competitor, but with everything from sexy calendars, video games, her own reality TV show, and a stint on the Celebrity Apprentice, on her resume; it’s evident that Natalie has truly transcended golf. To cap it all off Natalie was even rumored to be in a relationship with pro golfer Dustin Johnson, before Paulina came into the picture.
Aussie golfer Danielle Montgomery plays professionally on the ALPG (Australian Ladies Professional Golf) Tour. At only 28, Danielle dreams of one day winning on the LPGA TOUR. Aside from golf, she is also an accomplished swimmer and tri-athlete, making her state team in both sports.
Danielle was featured in the 2009 Women’s Professional Golf Calendar, during which she posed nude in the bathtub covered only in golf balls. Play it as it lies? Don’t mind if we do.
Well, DJ didn’t date her…but Lindsay Vonn recently snatched up an even bigger name golf pro when she began dating the 14-time major champion Tiger Woods.
For those of you that only know her as “Tiger’s” new girl, Lindsey is a lot more than that. Vonn is a World Cup alpine ski racer who competed with the United States Olympic Ski Team. In total she has won four overall World Cup championships with three consecutive titles in 08, 09, 10, and then one more in 2012. Lindsay took home the gold medal in downhill at the 2010 Winter Olympics, the first ever in the event for an American woman. Top that all off with six consecutive World Cup season titles in the downhill discipline (2008-2013), four consecutive titles in Super G (2009-2012), and three consecutive titles in the combined (2010-2012). Yes, she’s pretty good at what she does…and it’s safe to say her boyfriend is too.
Blair became a Professional Golfer in January 2004 and has since has competed in the West Coast Ladies Golf Tour, the Futures Tour and two events with the Orient Masters in China. In addition to being a professional golfer, the 5’10” blonde is represented by FORD Models and Sports Unlimited Talent who have given her the opportunity to model on runways, in print ads, catalogs, magazine covers, websites and commercial advertisements all over the U.S. and Asia.
In 2008 Blair made another list as she was named as “One of the Hottest 50 Athletes of All-Time” by Sports Illustrated. Shortly after she gained votes from millions of web users, InGameNow.com, and Sports Illustrated in the “World’s Hottest Athlete” contest in which she was voted into the Final Four among some of the greatest female athletes out there. With that said, Blair was an easy pick for this year’s hottest women in golf roster.
The singer/model daughter of the perhaps the most legendary hockey player of our generation has been popping up in the golf world due to her dating ties to TOUR pro Dustin Johnson. Paulina doesn’t play the game, but has been present at a number of tournaments, including watching her man win an event at Kapalua earlier this year.
The hockey hero’s daughter has done some on screen work on the MTV show Laguna Beach and made her modeling debut on the cover of Flare magazine in 2005 but has perhaps received her most significant buzz from her instagram account saw a few of her pictures go viral in 2013.
Another knockout Aussie golfer to make the list is Miss Anna Rawson. Rawson turned professional at the end of 2004 and played a full season on the Future Tour but missed the cut at the 2004 LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. She later finished third at the Ladies European Tour 2005 qualifying tournament and it wasn’t until December 2007, that Rawson first notified her fans that she had been invited to join the LPGA tour. At Q School 2008 she qualified for her full time tour card on the 2009 tour.
This model/designer/golfer and philanthropist is as hot as they come on the LPGA Tour and her on and off course success has been largely unrivaled by her peers. Not only is she hot, she’s one hell of a golfer to boot.
Win McMurry of NBC Universal’s Golf Channel is an award-winning on-air host, reporter, producer, model and author. Since 2010 her assignment to “Special Ops” for the 24-hour network has taken her across the globe to report for Golf Central and Morning Drive. McMurry also he hosts PGA Tour Primetime Thursday and Friday evenings, as well as a number of original network programming, features, and specials.
Crowned “Miss Fantasy Challenge” Win is recognized as the Channel’s resident Fantasy Golf Expert and is also the go-to, in-house authority on golf fashion. Her weekly columns and articles can be read on GolfChannel.com.
McMurry was also recently named Golf’s No. 1 Beauty by Sports Illustrated’s Golf Magazine.
Touted by some as “The World’s Sexiest Golfer,” Sophie Horn has been popping up just about everywhere. Crowned Norfolk County Champion 3 years in a row, Sophie first won the Under-21 title when she was just 15 years old. She also won the Midlands Championship, and became Champion of Champions in 2001.
Shortly after, Horn parlayed her blossoming golf success into other media by becoming “The Golf Nurse” for Golf Punk Magazine, where she contributes articles, advice, tips and even models clothing for the magazine. With countless eye-catching photo shoots under her belt, Sophie is not to be overlooked on any top 10 list.
They should change the name of Golf Channel’s “Morning Drive” to “Morning…” well you get it. If you’re even mildly aware of the Golf Channel’s programming we’re confident that Holly Sonders is on your radar. One flash of the tan, long legged TV show host and model’s beautiful smile is all it takes to be put under her spell (and that’s not a bad thing).
Formerly Holly Niederkohr (Sonders is a stage name), this brunette beauty was an accomplished college golfer who hung up her golf clubs to become a TV personality in 2009. The 26 year old has since become one of golf’s most recognizable television personalities.
Holly has two American Junior Golf Association wins, reaching the 16th round of the 2007 Women’s Western Amateur and helping Michigan State capture the 2007 Big Ten Championship.
Fitness and athletics always have been a part of Sonders’ life and she’s been known to crank the occasional 260+ yard drive (when was the last time you did that?). In our eyes, she’s the full “golf” package. Her recent Golf Digest photo shoot says it all, putting to bed any doubt that she’s our number 1 hottest woman in golf for 2013.
