Golf Snapchat Accounts You Should Be Following

It goes without saying that Rickie Fowler is currently dominating the world of golf social media, and social media’s latest darling Snapchat is no exception.  Snapchat’s ‘here today gone tomorrow’ platform has quickly developed into Rickie’s latest means of sharing a first-hand account of his personal and professional journey through life and golf.

And by the way … you won’t find Jordan Spieth on Snapchat, just yet.

For those of you unfamiliar with the app, Snapchat is a way to enjoy fast and fun mobile conversations by ‘snapping’ a photo or a video, adding a caption, and sending it to a friend (or posting it to your 24 hour ‘story’ for all of your followers to see).  But here’s the rub: after viewing it, the “snap” disappears forever—unless the receiver take a screenshot.  The idea being that Snapchat shares are less formal and more improptu than the videos and images shared on other platforms which seem to linger around seemingly forever.

Now that you’re all brushed up on the latest social media trend, it’s time to dive in with a few of our favorite Snapchat accounts in the world of wide world of golf.

Michelle Wie (Snapchat name: themichellewie)

Like Lexi, Michelle Wie is yet another queen of golf social media.  She likes to keep it real when traveling the world playing as one of the top women in the sport and ins’t afraid to document her every move to keep her fans in the loop.  Here’s a recent screenshot from her “Hole-in-one” Snapchat story.

Meghan Hadwin (Snapchat name: meghanahadwin)

Hardin is a professional golfer but hasn’t quite made it to the LPGA TOUR just yet.  We first saw this young beauty  on Golf Channel’s ‘Big Break Atlantis’ and ‘Big Break NFL.’  If you want to see more of the stuff that Golf Channel couldn’t show you, then swing by her Snapchat handle.

Rickie Fowler (Snapchat name: RickieFowler15)

Here’s a guy who needs no introduction in the social media world.  On top of his over 1 million Twitter followers Fowler is also quickly becoming the reigning champion of this latest social media channel to hit the big time.  Although Snapchat doesn’t reveal the number of followers each “chatter” has we amassed can easily surmise that Rickie’s following is in the hundreds of thousands—and he’s only been on Snapchat for a few weeks!

Justin Thomas (Snapchat name: jlthomas34)

Justin Thomas is one of the newest “young guns” running in the PGA TOUR’s elite circle with the likes Spieth and Fowler.  He recently shared a Snap story prior to the Valspar Championship that showed off an enormous mansion where he, Spieth, and the boys were lodging in during the week.

The house featured its own set of golf holes in the back yard, indoor golf simulators, ping pong and more.  The story shows the boys having a ton of fun out there and it’s interesting to go behind the scenes and see how they all roll together with their entourages.  JT is certainly worth a follow for more cool behind the scenes TOUR life stories.

Smylie Kaufman (Snapchat name: @smylie_kaufman)

If you’re going to try and keep up with the knuckleheads on Spring Break, or SB2K17, you’ll want to follow Smylie.  Something tells us he’s the trouble maker of the bunch.  Keep popping them Natty Light’s Smylie and go nuts … for all of us.

Bubba Watson (Snapchat name: thebubbawatson)

Now you can see all the crazy antics of ‘Bubba being Bubba’ through his live Snapchat channel.   We all now Bubba isn’t shy about posting some funny and crazy things on social, so all this does is gives Watson another platform to make us laugh.

Daniel Berger (Snapchat name: db.straitvibin)

The 2015 Rookie of The Year is amongst the Fowler, Justin Thomas, Spieth crew and we are loving his girlfriend Tori Slater.  Be sure to follow “Boogie” on Snapchat for some cool behind the scenes TOUR stories.

Paulina Gretzky (Snapchat name: Paulina_Jean)

Paulina recently joined thanks to good friend Rickie Fowler adding her to the platform.  It’s nice to see the king of all Golf Social Media helping all of his friends figure out the world of Snapchat.  Be sure to add Paulina for some hot body shots and Johnson brother’s stories.

Golficity (Snapchat name: golficity)

This one is us…of course!  Follow along for some behind-the-scenes shenanigans at the Golficity office (which is usually the golf course).
