Who would have thought that one of the most exciting tournaments of the 2023 PGA season would be the RBC Canadian open?

Not only did it have an exciting finish but as we all know by this point, the celebration on the green is what everyone is talking about. Adam Hadwin getting taken down by security is one of the funniest things we’ve seen in a long time. The internet didn’t miss a beat either with some great edits.

@kellyklaing The security guard LOLLL – after Nick Taylor won the RBC Canadian Open, the wild celebrations that followed included fellow Canadian golfer Adam Hadwin, who’s also from Abbotsford, getting tackled by a security guard after he rushed onto the green to congratulate Taylor with a bottle of champagne 🍾🇨🇦⛳️ #adamhadwin #nicktaylor #canadianopen #rbccanadianopen #rbcopen #pgatourcanada #golfcanada #golfcanada🇨🇦 #canadianhistory🇨🇦 #canadiansports #canadiangolftournement #oakdalegolfandcountryclub #canadianheritagemoment #canadianheritage ♬ original sound – KELLY FROM TIKTOK

This week it was the USGA’s turn to have a little fun…leaving this surprise for Hadwin as he arrived at the US Open.

At the end of the day nobody was really hurt (other than maybe the security guard’s pride) but hey, it was a solid tackle and it’s great for his game tape. I hope they actually hire the guy to be Hadwin personal security for the week. Just in case another volunteer tries to go full Goldberg.
