The Internet is ALREADY Trying to Discredit Tommy Fleetwood’s Win
In typical internet fashion, various trolls and golf fans are trying to discredit Tommy Fleetwood’s first career PGA TOUR win at the TOUR Championship after 164 starts.
Fleetwood has come close on several occasions this year, dropping close tournaments at The Travelers Championship and the FedEx St. Jude Championship. However, he could not be denied at East Lake Golf Club, as the Englishman finally broke through against the Top 30 players on the PGA TOUR, winning the TOUR Championship, the FedEx Cup, and $10 million.
However, some people are saying that Fleetwood’s win should not technically be considered a win. Yes, really:
All I took for Tommy Fleetwood to finally win a golf tournament was a 30 man field 😂😂😂😂 kind of forgot about that. This really doesn’t count hahahaha.

If Tommy Fleetwood wins the Tour Championship does it count since it’s only a 30 player tournament.
The top 30 from the season.
I think it does.

Tommy Fleetwood’s first PGA Tour win coming in a 30-man field Tour Championship is objectively hilarious

No staggered scores. No advantage to anyone. Just 30 of the best PGA TOUR players, and Tommy Fleetwood beat them all. Of course, there are going to be doubters, and we knew it would be this way.
Scottie Scheffler started dominating golf in 2022, and everyone said, “He wouldn’t be doing this if LIV Golfers were still on TOUR.” The thing is, he continues to win at Majors, accumulating four of them before the age of 30. Those fields are filled with LIV Golf’s best. It doesn’t stop him.
To discount Fleetwood’s triumph as a fluke because of an abbreviated field would mean you would also have to discount Tiger’s 2018 TOUR Championship win. He came back the next year and won The Masters in 2019.
The internet continues to prove it is filled with a bunch of absolute lowlifes.
