Two Future PGA Stars Invited to the John Deere Classic
NCAA Golf collegiate standouts Aaron Wise and Beau Hossler were covered heavily during the NCAA Men’s Golf Match-play Championship this past week. Wise and the Oregon Ducks did indeed go on to beat Hossler and the Texas Longhorns in the finals, but both athletes now have something to look forward to.
Wise and Hossler have been invited to participate in the upcoming John Deere Classic. Hossler, the expected NCAA player of the year has been open about turning pro once his season concludes. Wise has also been expected to take the next step, especially after winning the NCAA individual title prior to also taking home the NCAA team title. Recently announced, both of these players will indeed participate in the John Deere Classic as professionals.
History has shown, the John Deere Classic truly creates stars. Some great PGA professionals have taken the same route Wise and Hossler soon will take. Among many names, Tiger Woods, Jason Day, Jordan Spieth, Zach Johnson, and most recently Bryson DeChambeau have all paved this particular path in years prior. Now, any golf fan can recognize that amazing company these two college standouts are keeping by following in the footsteps of the formerly mentioned names.
Hossler had an incredible college season, racking up more single season college tournament wins than Jordan Spieth who also went to Texas.
Wise joined a select group of names winning both the NCAA individual title and the team title.
Be sure to tune into the tournament as it will take place on August 11th through the 14th. Make sure to keep an eye out for the two players that very well could be the future of golf, Aaron Wise and Beau Hossler.
