Eddie Pepperell Drops the Mic on Tweet from LIV Golf Pro, Who Apologizes for Drunken Tweet
As it often does, “Golf Twitter” provided some entertainment over the weekend.
The topic: “The Watering Hole” at LIV Golf Adelaide. The 12th hole was set up like the 16th at the WM Phoenix Open, and things got crazy after Chase Koepka hit a hole-in-one.

The wild celebration was a great scene and caught the eye of many in the golf world.
Roger Mitchell, co-host of the “Are You Not Entertained?” podcast, tweeted the clip and tagged his on-air partner Eddie Pepperell in the clip.
I suspect we’ll agree on a few things 😁
One thing to add, this has been happening at Scottsdale for years now, so not sure how much LIV is really changing things here, but we can discuss on Monday 🤪

Pepperell draws the comparison to TPC Scottsdale in his response. He sent another message saying that things like this have also happened on the DP World Tour as well, prompting a response from Richard Bland.
Bland played on the European Tour (now DP World Tour) for over two decades before joining LIV Golf last year.
Ed.. tell me where on DP World there’s been a hole like this? Because in 22yrs of playing the tour I can’t think of any. But maybe your 15 minutes on tour you know different 🤷🏻♂️
— Richard Bland (@blandy73) April 23, 2023
Pepperell, who has two wins on the DP World Tour to Bland’s one, didn’t hold back in his response.
Where to start…
Suppose it’s simple; in my 15 minutes I won more events than you did in 22 years.
What the Tour has done (just to name a few);
GolfSixes
Heineken hole at Himmerland
Beat the Pro in HollandThe Tour, which you spent 22 years on did ok for you mate.

Accepting defeat, Bland also admitted to not being in a full mental state when he sent off his initial tweet.
To his end, Pepperell also offered post-match analysis, saying, “You just left yourself so open. The haymaker had no choice but to land.”
