Team USA Announces President’s Cup Captain’s Picks
Team USA has announced its six Captain’s Picks for the President’s Cup, as Jim Furyk has landed on who will join the six automatic qualifiers that will take on the International Team in Montreal in late September.
Furyk announced today that Keegan Bradley, Sam Burns, Tony Finau, Brian Harman, Russell Henley, and Max Homa will join Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, and Sahith Theegala.

Among those who will not be on the team are Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Billy Horschel, and Akshay Bhatia.
It is the first President’s Cup team that has not featured either Thomas or Spieth since 2012. Thomas, who has had disappointing seasons over the past few years, seemed primed for a spot considering his upswing in 2024, which featured an appearance at the TOUR Championship, which included a good finish.
Spieth is less of a surprise, as he revealed he is recovering from wrist surgery to repair damage that has caused his game to truly drop off over the past two seasons.
