PGA TOUR Legend Says One LIV Golf Star is Ready to Return
LIV Golf has several of its big-name players approaching the final years of their multi-million dollar deals with the league. The big question going into the tail-end of these contracts remains: will these players return to the league they left the PGA TOUR for?
One PGA TOUR legend believes one of the biggest names to leave for LIV Golf is ready to return after his contract expires, a looming question in the grand scheme of the larger professional golf landscape, which has been a fluid element of the game’s general outline for the past several years.
Perhaps one of the biggest names in professional golf to leave the PGA TOUR for LIV Golf was Brooks Koepka. The five-time Major Champion left the PGA TOUR in 2022, namely due to his grocery list of injuries that only seemed to grow every season.
Koepka admitted during the 2023 Masters Tournament that if his injuries were not a true problem hanging over his head, things with the PGA TOUR might have been different. He said during that April’s tournament that his decision “might have been tougher.”

But now, it appears Koepka might be ready to get back to the PGA TOUR as his contract with LIV Golf is coming up on expiration. Koepka's improved performance since leaving the TOUR has culminated in another Major Championship at the PGA in 2023, and millions in additional winnings with LIV.
He might be ready to return, at least according to Freddy Couples, who believes Koepka is ready to come back:
“I talked to Brooks Koepka all the time. I love Brooks Koepka, and I'm not going to say anything extra except I talk to him all the time…He wants to come back. I will say that I believe he really wants to come back and play the Tour."
Couples has a history with Koepka, as they have been on several Ryder Cup teams together as Vice Captain and Player, respectively. However, it is worth noting that several big-time LIV Golf contracts are set to expire over the next two seasons: namely Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau.
DeChambeau has had his own realm of rumors surrounding him in the past few weeks, with some reports indicating that he denied extension talks with LIV. This is unconfirmed, especially as there is a lot at stake for DeChambeau and his Crushers GC, which he is the captain.
Whether Koepka will return is unknown, but it is worth mentioning that he did appear alongside plenty of PGA TOUR players at the TGL event last week, something that definitely opened the eyes of many golf fans around the world.

Brooks brings a different competitive nature to a tournament, especially the Majors. He is a favorite amongst his fellow players and would be welcome back on TOUR if he chooses to rejoin the ranks.
