Why is the “M” Missing in TaylorMade?
Recently we’ve seen a number of PGA TOUR players sporting new bags, hats, and other apparel without the company’s trademark “M.” There’s even a new hashtag making the social media rounds #taylor_ade to really spark our interest.
So, why is the “M” missing in TaylorMade?
It’s widely believed that TaylorMade has removed the “M” in their logo to create buzz for the company’s latest new driver launch, aptly titled the “M1.”

Rumors have been circulating that the new club will feature TaylorMade’s Front Track System, which includes two sliding weights (like their R15) to offers a “simple” way to connect for fades or draws. There are a few leaked photos on the internet but none have been officially confirmed by the company.

In a new commercial seeing plenty of play throughout the FedExCup Playoffs, TaylorMade sets the stage for something “big” coming in October. The groundskeeper in this commercial is shocked at how far the divots he’s replacing are from the tee box.

The groundkeeper’s smirk tells whole story.
