With only 8 made cuts in 16 total events, Jonas Blixt wasn’t having the best year in 2013, and those numbers certainly don’t make you a favorite to win an event, but in this game, things can change quickly.

The 29 year old, carded a final-round, 3-under 67 to make up a four-shot deficit over the final 18 holes, winning the 2013 Greenbrier Classic by two strokes on Sunday. The event ended just minutes before the sun set behind the West Virginia mountains due to a 3 hour delay from afternoon thunderstorms. Blixt holed a key birdie on the 16th and two-putted from 45 feet on the par-3 18th to seal the deal at 13-under.

“Just so many dreams come true,” he told CBS afterward. “Just one week and the whole year kind of turns around.”

Blixt was a 2012 winner with a win at last year’s Frys.com Open and now holds 4 Top 3 finishes in his young career. The 2008 Florida State graduate picked up 500 FedExCup points (moving up a whopping 139 spots to 39th place on the FedExCup leaderboard) and earned an invitation to the Masters with his victory.
