What looked to be a dogfight amongst a handful of big names on the final 9 holes Sunday, concluded with John Senden chipping in an amazing birdie on 16, paving his way to victory. Senden’s birdie chip was preceded by a fantastic recovery shot from the tree line, the combination of the two sealed the deal on one of only two birdies in the final round on that difficult hole.

After the round Senden spoke to the media noting that, “The scoring always stays under double figures here and I think that if I could just stay in the moment I knew that I was swinging well enough to go out there and give it a shake.” The win ends a 7-year victory drought for John Senden and shoots him up into the top 15 on the the FedExCup leaderboard.

It’s worth noting that Na was in contention for most of the weekend.  Na struggled through a front nine that included a heart-breaking double bogey after missing an easy 3-footer, but bounced back to closed with a 72 and finished one shot behind Senden.

“I knew coming into today that I felt like if I shot par I had a chance to win,” Na said. “If I break par, I felt like it was going to be a lock.”
