SPOTTED: Wilson Golf Releases 2020 DUO Soft+ and DUO Optix Golf Balls

Wilson Golf has been announcing some brand new equipment for 2020, including its Staff Model wedges, so to go with the new clubs, it was natural that a golf ball would be on the way.

Fortunately, Wilson Golf is announcing the release of 2 new golf balls: the DUO Soft+ and DUO Optix.

The Duo Soft+ is a premium two-piece golf ball that features an all-new core technology, Velociticor, which uses advanced materials to help golfers extract and optimize every bit of power from their swing and, as a result, generate greater distance on each shot.

“DUO Soft+ was engineered to give players the ideal blend of longer distances and exceptional feel,” said Frank Simonutti, Global Director of Golf Ball Innovation. “In our testing of DUO Soft+, the Wilson LABS team found that when using a driver, the initial velocity of the ball increased by two miles per hour. “With our Velociticor technology, we are able to make our DUO lineup even longer while maintaining the soft feel the brand is known for.”

The new DUO Soft+ comes with 35 compression, which will provide golfers with maximum distance and enhanced touch and feel around the course. The DUO Soft+ will come in standard gloss white and is priced at $19.99 per dozen starting January 27, 2020.

The DUO Optix is, likewise, a two-piece golf ball that has been redesigned with a smaller core that will help provide additional distance, along with a new semi-translucent, highly visible and colorful matte cover that will separate itself from the marketplace standard white and tour yellow.

The DUO Optix features a soft, highly resilient polybutadiene core that will provide exceptional feel and straighter shots from tee to green.

And as mentioned above, the DUO Optix has colors that will make sure it stands out, including matte red, matte yellow, matte orange and matte green options.  For anyone interested, the DUO Optix will be priced at $19.99 per dozen and goes on sale January 27, 2020.
