MUST SEE: Florida Couple Transforms Backyard into Masters Replica!
If you can’t make it out to Augusta, you might as well bring a little bit of it to your own backyard.
The Craig family wanted to celebrate the Masters in a little bit of a different way this year, especially considering that they wouldn’t be able to attend due to present restrictions regarding fan attendance at Augusta. Instead of sulking about the unfortunate draw of the hat, Tommy and wife Stacy decided to spruce up their own backyard by creating a piece of the Masters, using hole number 12 as the inspiration behind the project.

Tommy Craig created a scaled-down version of the 12th green at Augusta, bunkers and all as a tribute to the prestigious event, and famous hole. Also included in the awesome backyard set up is a replica of Rae’s creek, which passes by in front, and a miniature version of Hogan Bridge. The final touch is a smaller version of one of Augusta’s hand-operated scoreboards, which ties it all together to create one Master-piece of a backyard.
“Over the past year, with the COVID stuff, I was bored,” Tommy said.
His creation is anything but boring, though. Friends who’ve had the privilege of working on their short game at the Craig’s since the makeover are thoroughly impressed.
“They’ve (Tommy and Stacy) both worked extremely hard to provide a memorable setting where friends can gather and enjoy the tournament,” says Hal Brooks, “Their attention to detail is impressive”
Quite impressive indeed. Along with the replica of hole 12, the Craigs added some small picnic tables with green umbrellas, to add to the Masters ambience. Two other artificial greens that feature two teeing areas roughly 50 yard away serves as a comfortable space for attendee’s to work on their short game.
The ultimate backyard setup for the penultimate golf tournament. It doesn’t get any better.
Only one question remains; how can I get a ticket?
