THROWBACK: Bubba Watson’s Hilarious Crab Encounter At RBC Heritage

Of all the many animal encounters on the PGA TOUR, this has got to be one of the most unique.

With the RBC Heritage going on at the moment, it’s only fair we take a look back at an extremely odd moment from the tourney in 2020 in which Bubba Watson found himself face to face with a fierce predator; the crab.

Following a shot that landed in a bunker, Watson and crew approached his ball only to find a little crab nestled right underneath it, seemingly trying to protect itself, or perhaps get out of the sun.

It was unclear if Watson or the crab was the more confused of the two parties.

Eventually, the little guy moved out of the way without too much poking or prodding, allowing Watson to get off a clean shot. Watson had called a rules official over just to make sure things were okay, but didn’t end up needing to replace the ball or anything of that nature.

It’s safe to say that despite the fiasco, the situation didn’t end up as “crabby” as it could have.
