NEWS: 13 Year Old Advances to US Open Final Qualifier
At 13-years old, I was probably more focused on what video game to play, pickup street hockey with some friends, and heading over to the movies. But Lev Grinberg, who graduates from middle school in 2022, is on his way to becoming the youngest person to ever qualify for the U.S. Open.

Grinberg shot a two-under-par 70—which included 5 birdies, 3 bogies, and a 3-under-par back nine—at Orange Tree Golf Club in Florida to finish T-4 and advance to the final stage of US Open qualifying.
To give you some more insight into Grinberg’s game, he plays to a 1.4 (after achieving a single-digit handicap at 9 yers old) and carries drives around 250-260 yards and, as a result, he probably has incredible skill with his irons, wedges and putter.
This is Lev Grinberg, he will graduate in 2022….from middle school….and he just shot 70 to get thru US Open locals.

If Grinberg qualifies, he would become the youngest male golfer to play in a U.S. Open and, at the same time, the youngest male golfer to ever play in a Major championship.
