How Nervous Would You be Playing a Round with MJ at the Grove XXIII?

Michael Jordan, the undisputed GOAT of basketball, may be just as intimidating on the links as he is on the course.

According to Harold Varner III, a professional golfer and Jordan brand athlete, he was convinced that MJ had made his friend s— his pants.

Jordan had invited Varner out for a round at his private course Grove XXIII, which is appropriately nicknamed “Slaughterhouse 23”.

Varner brought a friend along, whom was as he should be, extremely nervous to be playing with Jordan, who’s notorious for winning plenty of money on high stakes bets against good golfers.

“Will is playing nervous. He’s freaking out. This is a grown man. He’s 27 years old,” Varner said.

“And Will, I think he s— his pants. He literally couldn’t breathe. He was like, ‘Do you understand that I’m playing with the GOAT?’ I’m like, ‘I totally do, and you’re going to pay him $100 if you don’t play well.’ Varner continued.

“So he gets up there, hits a good drive at No. 2, and he has 70 yards, and I bet you he hit it 20 yards. Twenty yards.”

And that’s not all. Following the round, Will checked his heart rate data from the Whoop band be was wearing. His heart was beating at 159 beats per minute throughout the round.

Clearly, MJ’s days of inciting fear in his opponents are far from over.
