WATCH: 6’9″ and 300 Pound Pro, Thompson, Makes an Ace on 16 at the Open

Per our previous story, Jon Thompson is the tallest golfer to ever play in a Major or in a PGA TOUR event. However, Thompson didn’t head out to Royal St. Georges just to set height records.

Just watch as Thompson makes a beautiful ace on 16, starting a run that eventually got him moved under the cut line!

Now, he isn’t just the tallest to start a Major, but also the tallest to make a cut.
