Despite not even having officially earned his PGA TOUR card, the young Will Zalatoris who caught the world by storm at this year’s Masters tournament is now your Rookie of the Year award recipient.

Zalatoris beat out fellow rookie Garret Higgo for the award, who also made headlines after two wins in three weeks in the European TOUR gave him the momentum necessary to secure his first TOUR win in at the Palmetto Championship.

Although Higgo made a push for the award, Zalatoris’ 2020-2021 season achievements we’re just too much.

Bolstered by 14 top 25 finishes, including a runner-up at the Masters, Zalatoris cemented himself as the clear favorite of the Rookie of the Year award.

Zalatoris, although not an official TOUR member, would have had enough Fed-Ex Cup points (1,296) to earn himself a spot within the top-25.

From the armlock putter, to the eerie similarities between Zalatoris and Happy Gilmore’s caddy, it’s clear to see that Zalatoris will be a fan favorite for quite a while.
