You Won’t Believe Pinehurst and St. Andrews’ Ryder Cup Bet!

While you probably have friends that made some wagers regarding the Ryder Cup, you’d be surprised to hear that St. Andrews Link and Pinehurst Resort made a friendly bet for their respective countries of origin.

 Yes, the golf courses bet against one another. You don’t see that very often.

As such, Pinehurst ultimately won, and the consequences were awesome.

Staying true to their word and the bet, the losers (St. Andrews) replaced their flag on the 18th with a Pinehurst #2 flag. Personally, I think it’s an awesome and fun bet that isn’t doing either harm.
