What were you doing at 19? Did you go right into the work force or start college?

For Korn Ferry Rookie Akshay Bhatia (@akshaybhatia_1), he was in the Bahamas winning his first professional event.

Not only did he bet on himself by graduating high school early and turning pro immediately but he won with his girlfriend on the bag who doesn’t even know golf.

He meet her via an Instagram DM and now they are the champions of the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic. A move like that will definitely get you noticed by more than the girl you’re trying to impress.

I love this guy’s personality. He is living out his dream and the fact that he’s doing it with his girlfriend who doesn’t know much about golf is huge.

It’s got kind of a hallmark movie feel to it.

Guy meets girl. They hit it off. She caddy’s for him and he wins his first tournament.

I hope to see more of these two in the future and something tells me we will.

Ed started playing golf when he was 18. It started out as a hobby and something he liked to do but by 2014 it had turned into a full blown obsession. Since then Ed has committed himself to improving and learning more about the game. He doesn’t work in the golf industry, he’s not a teaching pro, he’s a guy who just loves the game and enjoys sharing his thoughts with others who share the same passion.
