Lee Hodges Uses Putter Out Of Bunker At The Honda Classic

When ever you hit a ball in a green side bunker there’s always a go to club that you reach for. Whether its’ your lob wedge or sand wedge, we’ve all got our go to club. Well, have you ever tried using your putter?

Although the result wasn’t that good I love the creativity from Hodges here. It definitely turned out better than blading a wedge over the green and into the water from the downhill lie with the green sloping away from him.

Although he still had to roll up his pants and take his shoes off on his third shot, at least he didn’t lose a ball. He took his double and ran with it finishing with an even par 70 and finishing in the top 10 at T9.
