Dustin Johnson Must Not Be Happy About Losing His Spot On This Coveted List
Sam Burns’ win at the Valspar Championship had some key implications for Dustin Johnson in the Official World Golf Rankings. The win pushed DJ outside of the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time in seven years.
DJ has been one of the most consistent golfers in the world ever since he has been on TOUR. Throughout his career he has won 24 PGA TOUR events and has spent over 130 weeks in the number one spot in the rankings.

He first moved into the top 10 back after he won the WGC-Cadillac Championship in March 2015. In 2016, DJ went on to win the U.S. Open and finish the year as the leading money winner on TOUR.
So far during this season DJ has only missed one cut in the five events that he has played in with the missed cut coming at the Genesis Invitational.

At the end of the day, DJ is still DJ and he has nothing to worry about. He is still one of the best players in the world even if he isn’t in the top 10 in the OWGR. He is still going to go out and play hard every week he is in the field and he will even probably win on TOUR this year.
And ultimately if all else fails, he still has Paulina at home to fall back on.
