Rory McIlroy And Collin Morikawa Go Back To Back From The Trap At Masters
No, that’s not a Drake lyric; that was what really happened at The Masters this weekend during round 4 of competition. On the 72nd and final hole of competition, both Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa found themselves in the right greenside bunker.
McIlroy holed out from 26 yards for birdie, sparking a spirited and genuine celebration to end his 2022 Masters campaign.

McIlroy went on to say, “That’s as happy as I’ve ever been on a golf course right there.” McIlroy birdied the 18th to move to a solo 2nd place finish.
While falling short of the career grand slam, McIlroy showed great grit and determination, combined with pure showmanship for the gallery and the world.

Not willing to go quietly, Collin Morikawa then holed out from the same bunker from 18 yards. With a much more tame celebration, Morikawa finished his weekend in fifth place with a -4 finish.
After a genuine embrace of mutual respect between McIlroy and Morikawa, Collin tossed his ball to the patrons and gave the golf world a lasting memory.

The spirit of fun was back in the game. Tiger competed all weekend and gave the world a sense of normal again. Scottie Scheffler claimed victory after a relatable four putt to close out his round.
Perhaps one of the most enduring images of the weekend, though, was of two world class golfers seemingly playing horse on the 18th at Augusta.
