Update: The 1st Annual U.S. Adaptive Open

The 1st Annual U.S. Adaptive Open kicked off on Monday morning. It is a 54-hole event at Pinehurst Resort & C.C. on Course #6. The tournament is being played by 96 inspiring individuals from 11 countries around the world.

The USGA has made major strides to make golf a more inclusive sport for all by making this great tournament possible.

The USGA has proved just that by bringing championship golf accessibility to golfers across the globe.

There was a promise in 2017 that there would be an adaptive golf championship declared by the USGA, and they delivered.

After 36th holes, Simon Lee is at -2 thru 36 holes, with Felix Norman trailing by two shots. The next closest is at +4, Chad Pfeifer.

For the women’s, Kim Moore is at +12 thru 36 holes, with Ryanne Jackson trailing by just four shots.

Tiger even made mentioned the U.S. Adaptive Open on Twitter, making this tournament more known to golfers across the globe. This tournament will only continue to prosper with the exposure that it will receive.

The final round will conclude today, which will bring our first inaugural winners of the U.S. Adaptive Open.

For the 1st annual event, golf fans can watch some of the action and stories of the tournament during Golf Today (noon-2 p.m. ET) and Golf Central (4-5 p.m. ET), which are both on the Golf Channel.
