Will Zalatoris and Ryan Gobble have officially split after him being the only caddie Zalatoris has had on a professional sanctioned tour.

Zalatoris says Gobble has basically been his best friend the past 3 years, but the on-course stuff was starting to affect their relationship. Both of them wanted to avoid this and felt the best course of action would be to split.

Veteran caddy Joel Stock will be Zalatoris’ new caddie for the Fedex Cup playoffs starting next week. Stock has caddied for Ben Crane for 10 years which lead to 4 PGA Tour victories in addition to caddying for PGA Tour players Cameron Tringale and Kevin Tway totaling 2 years combined.

The veteran experience Joel Stock has could bolster Zalatoris into the winner’s circle that Will has yet to experience on the PGA Tour.

Zalatoris has already captured 3 runner up finishes in majors in 2021 and 2022, with two coming this year (PGA Championship & U.S. Open) The blooming star already has 16 top-ten finishes in only two seasons.

It’s only a matter of time until we see Willy raise the hardware, very well could be a huge Fedex Cup Playoffs as he currently sits 12th in the points.
