Stevie Williams is indeed coming out of retirement. Williams has been on the bag for 14 major championships, 13 of those coming with Tiger and 1 with Adam Scott at the Masters. That win at the Masters with Scott was significant because that win was the first time anyone from Australia had won the Masters.

Williams is roughly 5 years removed from full-time-work, but is excited for this new chapter as he transitions into part time work with Scott.

“The time I spent caddying for Adam was very memorable; helping him becoming the first Australian to win at Augusta,” Williams told Golf Digest. “I feel Adam is in a good shape with his game, and I’m fresh having not caddied for a few years, so I’ll bring a lot of enthusiasm. I’ve always said to Adam and to others, to be remembered as one of the great players, you have to win multiple majors.

The opportunity to try and get Adam major No. 2 and elevate himself to a special group of players in history, would be a privilege.”

Stevie is right, Adam Scott finished the year with two top 15 finishes in the U.S. Open and Open Championship. Additionally, Scott tied for 5th place twice in two of the Fedex Cup Playoff events. The 14-time-winner of the PGA Tour has stayed sharp over the year maintaining his world ranking inside the top 50 (currently 34th).

The 42-year-old, Adam Scott may have found his puzzle piece to get back to his winning ways since he has not won since 2019. It will start this week as Williams will be back on Adam’s Scott’s bag for the next two weeks at marquee events in Australia. (Australia PGA and Australia Open).
