The story first broke at the end of November when the vandals drove through Plainwell Golf Course in Michigan. They managed to destroy two holes while on their spree of destruction, leaving the golf course with roughly $75,000 in damages.

Head Golf Professional Matt Townsley had this to say about the devastating findings:

“Disrespect does not even come close. We’ve spent hours and hours and hours prepping this golf course to make it great, and just to lose those two greens is going to be a detriment to the golf course. Each green can cost up to $125,000.”

Fast forward to this year, the two culprits have been charged and are juveniles. In this case, the names cannot be released. Hopefully, this sets an example for future vandals not to go through with the destructive and pricey crime that is possible to be committed.

Now having a report and charging the two individuals, the golf course will possibly have the course ready for spring. Hard to say, though, based on the extent of the damage on Plainwell Golf Course.
