LIV Golf Is Becoming More Accessible for Official Season Debut

LIV Golf is set to kick off its second season at a familiar venue looking to expand its fan base. They will do so by playing at Mayakoba, where the PGA Tour has played for over 15 years. Since there is not yet any found coercion between the two tours LIV Golf will now take the venue as their own.

Ironically enough, the course is designed by none other than Greg Norman. But how does this make LIV Golf more accessible?

By starting this season, instead of the tournament only being available to stream on their website and YouTube, they curated their own app where fans can take in the official debut season, as well as secured a broadcast deal with the CW Network. Additionally, LIV Golf Plus will be free to download on IOS, Android, Apple TV, and FireTV.

It’s simple reasoning, the more audiences you expose yourself to, the greater the chance to expand it. In turn, 180 countries will be able to tune in to LIV Golf Mayakoba.

Home-country favorites will draw their own crowds of Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz into this event. While Mayakoba cut ties with the PGA Tour to host their tournament for valid reasons. Their event was severely downgraded due to the new elevated tournaments on the PGA Tour, so Mayakoba sought out new opportunities.

It will be interesting to see if LIV can draw crowds and maintain a good relationship with a new tour hosting.
