Mike Trout, one of the biggest names in baseball in the last decade, will fulfill his dream to have his own golf course. As a bonus, Tiger Woods will be designing Trout’s course. The course will be named Trout National – The Reserve; it will be built in Vineland, New Jersey. It is set to be private and will likely open its doors to members in 2025.

The excited Trout had this to say about the ongoing project:

“I’m so excited to finally officially announce that we’re doing this project and doing it in a community that means so much to me, I was born in Vineland and raised in Millville. I met my wife, Jessica, in Millville, and my parents and siblings and in-laws still live in the area. I could put down roots anywhere in the country, but Jessica and I make South Jersey our off-season home and always cherish the time we get to spend there.”

This area is a special place for the Trouts, especially since he went to high school roughly 5 miles away from the town where his golf course is being built. Given that Tiger is an avid baseball fan, it makes a lot of sense for the two to join forces.

Woods said in the press release:

“I’ve always watched Mike on the diamond so when an opportunity arose to work with him on Trout National – The Reserve, I couldn’t pass it up. It’s a great site for golf and our team’s looking forward to creating a special course for Mike, Jessica, John and Lorie.”

John and Lorie, who are owners of Northeast Precast of Vineland, will also be helping with the project as well. From the likes of it, the project is off to an excellent start, and it will be exciting to see its progression. Though it may be quite difficult to get on the course since it will be a private course when it opens in 2025.
