Kevin Na, captain of the Iron Heads GC team, withdrew after completing the front-9. Na was the first group Thursday morning, but things got off to a rocky start with a double-bogey at the Par-4 first (Tea Olive).
Na bounced back on the Par-5, second (Pink Dogwood) with a birdie, but that was the last bright moment for his Masters appearance. Na bogeyed three of his next four holes, ending +4 on the front-9.

Reports say that Na was never comfortable, but it remains to be confirmed whether the discomfort is the result of something physical or mental.

Na’s withdrawal is less than ideal for LIV, whose golfers are making their first Major appearance this weekend. Following all the criticism about the lack of competition, LIV is looking for a strong showing from its golfers to demonstrate that its alternative league provides a similarly competitive environment.
