Bees Swarm PGA Tour Pros at Mexico Open
Sometimes you need to let a strong wind pass by before you take your shot. Instead, these players had to let a swarm of bees go by before proceeding. Francesco Molinari, Chez Reavie, and Erik Van Rooyen had just made the turn when they made contact with them.
Van Rooyen was getting ready to hit his second shot from 200 yards away, and this happened.
“I have never seen anything like that.”

To everyone’s relief, the players and spectators went unscathed from this peculiar situation that took place at the Mexico Open. Despite Erik Van Rooyen being shaken up and in disbelief, he parred the hole and went on to finish -12 after the conclusion of two rounds, putting him one shot behind leader Tony Finau.
Fellow players and caddies that all hit the deck had a good laugh about it. Hopefully, there are not any surprises the players are presented with that could turn into a serious situation. Nonetheless, it will be exciting weekend with Jon Rahm seeking to defend his title.
