We have all been there. You pull up to the first tee, ready to start your round off with a great drive down the middle, and BAM! You send one into the trees or top it so bad it takes every ounce of courage you have to walk to the ball and hit it again.

Then there are these guys who combined hit their tee shots, maybe 50 yards.

I feel for them; I really do. It’s not just a casual round of golf with your friends. It’s a ProAm with a lot of people standing around. How does someone ever recover from this?

The only answer is with a lot of swing oil, aka shots from the cart girl, because it’s going to be a long round. Maybe the rain had something to do with it but then again, maybe not.
