One Thing May Get in the Way of Tyrrell Hatton Going to LIV Golf
Following up on its report last week that English golfer Tyrrell Hatton was going to be joining LIV Golf, The Telegraph out of the U.K. is now saying that there are a couple of snags holding up the deal.
The issue is that Hatton has already signed on with TGL, which is the indoor, made-for-TV golf league run by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. It was originally set to debut this month, but the roof of the arena that was being built in Florida for the series collapsed, delaying it until 2025.

The Independent is reporting that legal teams are working to resolve the contractual issue, which will pave the way for Hatton to join Jon Rahm’s team on the LIV circuit.
Interestingly, it was announced last Wednesday that Hatton has entered the WM Phoenix Open, which takes place a week after LIV’s first event of the year.

Rahm’s team is a brand new 13th entry for LIV’s 2024 season, which begins this week in Mayakoba, Mexico, so time is of the essence as the sides work to clear these hurdles.
