DELAYED: The Masters Opening Round Pushed Back
Excited for the opening round of the Masters?
Well you’ll have to wait a bit longer. Heavy rain last night prior to tee off means the honorary starters ceremony will be delayed at least until 10:30 a.m. EDT, with potential for holding back even further.
However, skies appear to be clear for the remainder of the day.

Organizers announced the news at 5 a.m. local time, to dismay from those on the ground and watching at home. Play will begin no earlier than 3:30 pm BST for those on the other side of the pond, or 10:30
The forecast is due to change, however. The news comes as no surprise as the forecast has looked poor for Thursday for most of the week. The issue for fans of Tiger Woods would be if he had to complete 36 holes in one day if the delays were to continue. The result for some players this week could depend on what side of the draw they sit on for the opening day.
Patrons will be disappointed, but we are just getting more excited for the opening day in the year’s first major. We’re expecting an update very soon, sit tight for now!
