New Scottie Scheffler Video Shows Conversation with Police in Back of Cop Car
A new video from the Scottie Scheffler arrest shows the golfer in the back of a police car shortly after his arrest, speaking with a police officer after he did not stop as he was attempting to make it to his morning tee time.
Scheffler spoke with the officer in what sounded like a respectful tone and said he was not aware that the person who was telling him not to proceed was a police officer. The person who advised him not to drive forward was Detective Bryan Gillis.
Gillis filed a report shortly after the incident stating that he was “dragged” by Scheffler after he refused to stop. However, video released by the Louisville Metro Police Department last week showed Detective Gillis chased after Scheffler’s vehicle and then struck it with what appears to be a flashlight.
Now, a new video shows Scheffler speaking with police in the back of the car:

Scheffler said he was not aware that Gillis was a police officer because he did not identify himself.
The video also has some strange elements, as the officer stated that Scheffler should have stopped for anyone. However, it seems more ideal that the officer would just identify himself.
The Louisville Metro PD is expected to make a statement later today, where it could drop the charges after last week’s video was released, showing Detective Gillis was not dragged by Scheffler’s car.
