Titleist 620CBs Dominate the PGA TOUR — And It’s Not an Isolated Incident
Every year, golf OEMs release the newest and the most technologically-advanced golf equipment the world has seen. Each Spring comes a new club with new tech that claims to help the ball go further and straighter while lowering your scores.
However, when it comes to Tour Pros, very few things past putting a good strike on the ball matter. Proven by Bryson DeChambeau’s recent series where he played with Persimmon clubs, as well as antique irons, professional golfers can play with just about anything.
When they find something that works in the modern game, however, they stick with it. Case in point would be how the Titleist 620CB irons have continued to be a favorite of players on TOUR, and they picked up their most recent win this past weekend at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

A report from Golf.com shows that there are a number of players who picked up signature wins over the past few years with the 620CBs.
Wyndham Clark at the U.S. Open and Brian Harman at The Open Championship — both players using the 620CB over any of Titleist’s more recent offerings. Harman has played the clubs since 2021.

Clark said that he chose the 620CB over the T100 from Titleist because of several things:
“I like these (irons) because they fit the number. I was hitting the MB and I was taking too big of a divot and not spinning the ball (in the correct window), and then I hit the T100 and it was going too high and I didn’t like that amount of offset. Once I got into the CBs my numbers were great and I love these irons.”
This truly highlights the importance of club-fitting. New clubs and new tech might not be what your game needs. Older offerings, the right shaft, and the right look could be what your game truly needs.
