Good Good Golf, the popular YouTube Golf channel, just made an extraordinary move by getting its own PGA TOUR event, which will kick off from November 9th to the 15th, 2026, in Austin, Texas.

The Good Good Championship will take place next November and marks an incredible achievement for those who are involved in content creation. PGA TOUR events have mostly been sponsored by massive corporations like Mastercard, Wells Fargo, AT&T, and others.

But the last few years have represented a major change in the tide of golf. It is less traditional than it ever has been, and more attention than ever has been put on the non-professional entertainers, as the professional game’s divisive nature and constant controversy have driven new players away.

Good Good has potentially the most pull in all of the YouTube space, especially considering it was among the first channels to truly rise to prominence as the COVID-19 pandemic raged on in 2020. Golf grew at an alarming rate during this time because it was the only activity that complied with social distancing standards.

As a result, content truly took off, and Good Good reaped the benefits. Now, it’s getting its own PGA TOUR event:

The announcement is perhaps the biggest shift in professional golf since the establishment of LIV Golf, which truly disrupted things. Now, PGA TOUR events will involve even more content creation-based influencers, potentially opening the way for more opportunities for other brands in the future.

Professional tours have truly adapted to the changing golf landscape through things like the PGA TOUR’s Creator Classic. Additionally, LIV Golf has also gone headfirst into involving content creators in its operations.

The event is in its preliminary stages, so it is unclear who will be playing in the event. Due to its timing, it will likely not feature big names like Rory McIlroy, but its location being in Texas could attract players like Scottie Scheffler.
