Rory Has Issues With Water at HSBC Champions

As if it weren’t enough that Rory McIlroy was fighting off food poisoning going into the HSBC Tournament this week, now he’s finding new ways to introduce his golf ball to water hazards.

During Friday’s round, McIlroy put his ball into the water on the 18th hole. He then proceeded to take his drop and watch his golf ball roll into that same body of water.

I think my favorite part of the video is how he holds his drop pose well after the ball goes into the water.

While I can’t say I’ve dropped a ball into the water quite like that, I think it’s safe to say we’ve all had that “why did I just do that?” feeling on the golf course.
