Ian Poulter Cards A Snowman, Goes Ian Poulter On Cameraman
If there is anything constant in our crazy golf world, it’s the fact that Ian Poulter gonna Ian Poulter.
Ian Poulter is competing in the Hong Kong Open in China this week. His second round was going swimmingly, including three birdies in five holes, until he reached the par-4, 15th.
Poulter missed the green on his approach shot, and then things got real messy.
He chunked his third shot into the bunker in front of him, failed to get out of the bunker on his fourth shot, failed to get out of the sand a second time, then finally got out on his sixth shot, but only after skipping the ball across the entire green and into the fringe on the other side. He would ultimately finish with a good old-fashioned snowman. ‘Tis the season!

First of all, we’ve all been there. I’ve personally been there more times than I’d like to admit. I like to blame the sand, club, ball, shoes, sun, where I parked the golf cart, etc., when I experience my typical blow-up hole.
Ian went a different route. Blame the cameraman.
To be fair, it’s entirely possible the cameraman did distract the fiery European. But, it’s also entirely possible Poulter is just looking for somewhere to put the blame.
Poulter responded on Twitter. And to no one’s surprise, didn’t back down.
A simple snowman makes everyone feel better ⛄️ Don’t run behind me when I’m ready to hit. I was ready he wasn’t. Simple mistake. https://t.co/HvDBZfg2eY

I’ll have to add this one to my “blame repertoire” next time out.
Beware, skittering little squirrel, after skulling my next fifty-yard chip, I’m coming after you!
