Snedeker Wins the 2013 RBC Canadian Open

With Snedeker’s recent win at the 2013 RBC Canadian Open our fantasy predictions staff has now successfully picked the winner for three straight tournaments in a row!

In our most recent fantasy odds segment we had Brandt Snedeker, Hunter Mahan, Dustin Johnson and Matt Kuchar in our top picks (Snedeker won, DJ and Kuch finished T2 and Mahan had a commanding lead before withdrawing after news of his wife going into labor).

Needless to say…we’re on fire.

As for Snedeker, the 2012 FedExCup champion won by 3-strokes to win his 2nd TOUR event this season.  When asked about the Mahan withdrawal, a very humble Snedeker said “Zoe (Mahan’s newborn) will be getting a very nice baby gift from me.”   He also added a humorous note, “I can’t thank Kandi (Mahan’s wife) for going to into labor early.I don’t know if I’d be sitting here if she didn’t.”

The win puts Brandt right behind No. 1 Tiger Woods and No. 2 Matt Kuchar in the FedExCup standings, a situation he is all too familiar with as the playoffs begin to kick off again on Aug 22.  Brandt also jumped up to 7th in the World Golf Rankings and is looking to defend the FedExCup crown, something that has never been done by a player back to back years.

We’re wondering what kind of gift Hunter’s baby will get…I’m sure it will be something really nice.
