Jon Rahm is Getting Dragged on Twitter for His Wimbledon Style Choices

With The Open Championship coming up in just a few short weeks, many players are already across the pond practicing their links golf before they compete for the final major championship of the year. And while they’re there, there is plenty to do outside of golf. Many players ended up at the Wimbledon tennis tournament this week and that’s where Jon Rahm got blasted.

No one doubts that Rahm is one of the young up-and-comers on the PGA TOUR but many are starting to question his style choices.

Rahm was caught on camera at Wimbledon where he was seen wearing a blazer with a blue collared shirt covered in white stars. Now that’s something I would expect an American tourist to wear in London but not a young Spainyard.

And I’m apparently not the only person who thought this because Rahm went viral for a few minutes with several other players weighing in on his looks.

Ryder Cup teammate Thomas Pieters really shredded Rahm by tagging fellow European and jokester Eddie Pepperell to chime in and then tagging all of Rahm’s apparel sponsors, telling them to give him a hand.

Some other great responses were comparing Rahm to Rocky Balboa and showing side by sides of Rahm and other eccentric dressers.

While this was all fun and games and Rahm has taken it well, a lot of these players will be soon shifting their focus towards The Open Championship. Eddie Pepperell hasn’t yet responded to the Rahm tweet because he’s already dialed in at the Scottish Open. Others like Justin Rose, Sergio Garcia, Danny Willett, and more are also playing this week in preparation.

I hope that after this whole ordeal that Rahm will begin asking his friends and maybe his PR person about some outfits he plans to wear. But hey, maybe if he’s into it we could have the best loud dresser on the PGA TOUR since John Daly.
