Tiger Woods Getting Album Named After Him
One of the best stories of the years was the rise of Tiger Woods back to the top of the golfing world. But even though he seemed to fade at the end of the year, all of his accomplishments are not being forgotten.
We all know that Woods has had a huge year, most notably by winning the Masters. He’s also set to lead the United States team in the Presidents Cup in just about a month where he could also be a player. But he’s now also about to get a huge shout out in the music world from extremely popular rapper Cardi B.
For the past few months, rap fans and a lot of music fans, in general, have been excited about Cardi’s sophomore album, which she has said will be dropping sometime this year. She saw massive success with her first studio album and has become incredibly popular across many demographics. And now, she’s saying that the second album is going to be dedicated to Tiger.

“Everything that I’m working on right now is straight to my album. Straight to my album,” she said. “And I think I’m gonna name my album Tiger Woods. I think I’m going to name my album Tiger Woods because remember when everybody was talking s**t on Tiger Woods? Like ‘Oh blah blah, blah blah this, blah blah that,’ and then he f***ing came and won that green jacket? That’s what I’m going to name my album.”
Not surprisingly, this isn’t the first time that Tiger has been mentioned in rap music. He’s an African American sports icon and hero within that community and has had his name-dropped by the likes of Jay-Z and Kanye West. The fact that Cardi B still sees him as an inspiration for her album shows that his prestige and clout is never going to go away as long as he’s swinging a golf club.

Woods hasn’t commented on the news as of yet but I’m sure he’ll be gracious for Cardi B’s gesture. If she does follow through with Tiger Woods as the album name and you want to check it out, it’s expected to be released sometime in the coming weeks so be on the look out.
