Earlier this year the World Golf Hall of Fame changed their requirements from 50 years old to 45 or retired from professional golf for minimum of 3 years. Why would they do this if the age was changed from 40 to 50 years old in 2016?

Well its simple…Tiger Freaking Woods turns 45 years old (the minimum) on December 30th of this year.

That means that he is eligible for the Hall of Fame class of 2021.

It is not a surprise that Tiger has just been selected as one of the ten finalists for the 2021 class. Other well-known nominees include Ireland’s Padraig Harrington, Dottie Pepper, and Tom Weiskopf.

Tiger will most likely make it into the hall in 2021, I don’t see any real reason why he wouldn’t. The only thing I would suggest the committee does is have a separate ceremony for Tiger. He has kind of a long resume so you may need some extra time to get through everything.

Ed started playing golf when he was 18. It started out as a hobby and something he liked to do but by 2014 it had turned into a full blown obsession. Since then Ed has committed himself to improving and learning more about the game. He doesn’t work in the golf industry, he’s not a teaching pro, he’s a guy who just loves the game and enjoys sharing his thoughts with others who share the same passion.
