FIRST LOOK: Titleist Drops the NEW Tour Speed Golf Ball

A box of these beauties just landed in our office. Got to love a fresh new golf ball from the number one ball in the game. It’s like the best car company launching a newer model to their lineup.  Well, meet the new Tour Speed.

Here is what I know about the new Tour Speed so far.  Simple enough, speed continues to be an important measure for golf ball performance. But performance into and around the greens is critical to scoring, and we all know that.

SO Titleist rolled out a golf ball that connects speed with performance.  The ball has a three-piece, thermoplastic urethane construction which is built to give you exceptional distance in the long game along with precise short game scoring control.

Tests have shown that the Titleist Tour Speed is faster than Callaway Chrome Soft, Bridgestone Tour BR X and Taylormade Tour Response.

We plan to do a more detailed review of the golf ball in the coming weeks and can’t wait to get in on the course.
