KINDNESS: Fellow Golfers Help Keep an IMPRESSIVE Streak Alive

Golficity Facebook group member, Scott Dressen, is an avid golfer from Wisconsin, who has impressively played a round of golf every single month with his father for 58 straight months. Yes, that’s two months shy of 5 years!   

You might be saying that doesn’t seem hard, but, Scott and his father live in the cold and snowy state of Wisconsin, where theoretically it’s only warm for roughly 6 months out of the year. And snow usually sticks around in freezing cold for some time.

Think about that streak…5 years of playing golf every month in Wisconsin!

Recently Scott, thinking The Streak would come to an end, decided to make one last ditch effort by asking his fellow Golf Podcast Facebook Group friends, or as we like to call it, the Golficity Army, for some help.

What I love about this plea for help were the immediate responses of people trying to pitch in.  Everyone was so eager to help Scott figure out what courses near him were even open, that didn’t have much snow, and would even allow him on to play.   

With 6 days to go, it looked like THE STREAK was about to end at 58 months.

But a ray of shining light for Scott appeared as Michael Herr, a fellow Facebook group member who saw the post and lives in Wisconsin commented with some potentially good news.

At this point, the whole community sat back and waited to see if this savior Michael could make it happen. Well, it didn’t take long before he found out some news.

Ahh, the powers of GOLF and social media. So now I bet you’re all wondering, did Scott and his father keep the streak alive?

Well today I am happy to report that this past weekend, Michael did exactly what he set out to do and met up with Scott and his father at a little course that welcomed them with open arms.

Congrats guys — and big thank you to Michael Herr, the good Samaritan who made it all happen. I truly love how golf can bring people together!
