This week, Steph Curry is showing off his skills on the golf course but he is not the only NBA player that is looking to jump onto the golf scene. In fact, he’s not even the only player on his team that will be doing professional golf work this year.

Curry’s teammate, Andre Iguodala, announced that he will be doing some on-camera work for Turner Sports next week for the PGA Championship. Iguodala, who is just as much of a golf fanatic as Curry, will be at Quail Hollow as a “special contributor,” throughout the week and will also contribute to the tournament’s coverage on social media.

Iggy is already a well-known player when it comes to social media and he believes that his dry humor and positive personality will play well with golf fans next week. “I’m looking forward to the on-camera thing.” Iguodala said, “Just to let people know my knowledge of the game and pretty much test myself.”

While he isn’t an expert on the sport by any means, Iguodala can provide some good insight to the tournament. He has played for years, shooting rounds with Curry at Augusta National and participating in pro-ams with notable players, such as Justin Thomas. Having this experience and bringing an outsider perspective should allow Iggy to connect with the casual golfer.

As for who is the better golfer of the two Golden State Warriors, Iguodala has to defer that title to Curry. Iggy admitted that he’s playing his best golf right now, shooting in the mid-80s on average but that’s nothing close to Steph. “That dude’s too good,” Iguodala said. “His game has gotten better as mine has gotten better. I need him to get worse.”

While he may not get the better of Steph yet, Iggy is still a good golfer and will bring a new flare to the PGA Championship. It will be interesting to see how he does as an on-camera contributor this upcoming week.
