Don’t let the short yardage on this course fool you into thinking its an easy track.  Falkirk was designed to make sure you are accurate off the tee.   The scenic mountains in Orange County, NY engulf this course and can play serious danger to a lot of your fancy ProV1s.   Recently upgraded, this course has a nice “club” feel and weddings are often held here on weekends.

A lot of the holes play a dog-leg left, which requires the righty golfer “draw” to get the ball around the woodsy hazards.  The Par 3s are short, but some lie on the top and bottom of steep hills which require a smart club selection.  Falkirk can be a tough track to walk  on account of its long hills, including the steep up hill 3rd hole which plays a lot longer then it looks.

Measuring at 5,644 yards of golf from the tips for a par of 71, this course has a rating of 67.7 and a slope rating of 116.  Designed by Hal C. Purdy, the Falkirk golf course opened in 1922 and is currently being managed by Ken Vrana, General Manager.
